Ineen’s right cheek laid flat on her desk. Gears, unfinished machine parts, springs and bolts scattered around the blank sheet of paper that was neatly placed on the desktop. She stared at it in hopes to get an idea but the paper was about as blank as her mind. “I do not understand this assignment,” she muttered, thinking back to that morning. Miss Beryl simply handed the class a normal looking piece of paper and gave no instructions other than to figure it out.
"Figuring that out is part of this assignment-nya. Make sure nyor prepared to report on all of nyor attempts." Ineen repeated Beryl’s words aloud, even down to the cuddly kitty’s accent. The Mock Elf’s ears perked up at the thought of Beryl’s fluffy kitty ears and the soft mews the kitty makes whenever Ineen pets them. A smile spread across the elf’s face as she happily daydreamed about petting her teacher’s feline ears.
